As we envision the final decades of life, prioritizing health becomes crucial. While many have achieved success, it often comes at a cost to well-being. With aging as a daily reality, focusing on strength, cardiovascular fitness, diet, and sleep is essential. These elements enable you to live life fully and leave a lasting legacy of health and influence.
Men lose lean muscle mass at a pretty rapid rate as they age. Your executive trainer will educate you on science-based strength training that will help you gain and retain lean muscle mass which will keep you active and injury-free in the coming decades. We want you to remain active and enjoy your future! We will be measuring your body composition via a DEXA scan at the start of the program and then every six months.
We define your cardiovascular fitness by two metrics: vO2 max and zone 2 exercise. Your executive trainer will teach you how to train for both which will impact your longevity and health span, not just life span. We will be measuring your vO2 Max on a treadmill or bike with a vO2 Master device and remeasuring every 3 months to assess progress. We will also help you determine your zone 2 heart rate so you can be sure to train at level 3 times a week. This is done via a chest strap device and calibrating to whatever wearable device you already have.
We do not focus on diet for weight loss. Your training program will be fueled by making sure you get the appropriate amount of macronutrients in your diet. We speak of body composition, not weight loss. Your executive coach will make sure you get the appropriate amount of protein as well as necessary supplements to improve your nutrition and overall health.
There is nothing that impacts your quality of life in your final few decades than the quality of your sleep. We will educate you on the various aspects of sleep and ways to improve your sleep. We utilize wearables (Oura ring, Whoop, Apple Watch, Garmin Watch) to measure your sleep quantity and quality.
